Principal's Message

Congratulations on another great school year!!!

This school year has passed so quickly (as most do.) The memory of the first day is still fresh in our minds complete with the smell of freshly cut grass and fall sports in the air. Now, as we just begin to cut the grass again after a long winter, we prepare to send another graduating class of seniors off to a new beginning and charge the upcoming juniors with a new and exciting leadership challenge. May will bring the Spring Musical, Celebration of Excellence, Honor Day, Physics Day at Cedar Point and Senior Final Exams. June is a time for wishing our seniors well and thanking them and their families for all they’ve done while passing through the halls of LHS. It is a time to reminisce about the struggles and successes of the year and to send our underclassmen off to a well-deserved rest for the summer. (That goes for our teachers and support staff too!)

Most importantly, I want to take this time as we wind up our school year to convey our thanks to you, the families of our LHS students, for all that you’ve done for our school. We know you are sending us your most prized possessions in the world. We continuously strive to prepare them for the day when they will walk across the Civic stage, receive their diploma and move into the next chapter of their lives. The staff at LHS cannot thank you enough for your time, energy, understanding, compassion, and cooperation throughout this year and past years as we’ve worked together on this common goal.

Congratulations to the seniors! This has been a fun and exciting school year. They have earned many honors this past year and have represented Lakewood High School very well. The class of 2013 has earned their place in the honored history of LHS by providing another outstanding example of the strong and proud tradition this school has been built upon. Yes, congratulations to our newest alumni, the graduating class of 2013!

Again, to the parents, students, community, and staff of LHS, a special thank you for all you’ve done to make this school year great… Every Period, Every Day!

Sincerely yours with Ranger Pride,

Bill Wagner
