GRANT IS FLIPPED OVER RECESS!

A new school year always brings changes, and one local school is trying out a trend--scheduling recess before lunch instead of after.

Supporters of the swap say students eat more--and healthier--by eating after they play.

One study found that recess before lunch would lower the amount of food wasted from 40 to 27 percent.

Advocates also say students return to the classroom more focused than if they had just come from recess
